Leading Microblogging website Twitter Inc. suspended over 70 million fake accounts in two months (May and June), as per the latest report revealed by the Twitter sources to The Washington Post. In the report of the Washington post, Twitter said that they are running a massive clean-up drive to clear out bots and trolls on the platform. The impact of this campaign is that the rate of suspension of accounts is doubled since October. Over 1 million accounts were suspended a day in recent months. Synctag, social media analytics startup received a Series A funding of Rs 2 Crore from private equity company Subhkam Ventures to begin operating in international markets.
