HCL to Set up New Global IT Centres & Create Over 5,000 Jobs

The popular IT company HCL Technologies will reportedly set up a Global IT development centre at Gannavaram in Andhra Pradesh and this will create more than 5,000 jobs. The new centre is spread over 29.86 acres and is anticipated as part of Andhra Pradesh's drive to create a new IT hub. With this, the company will invest over Rs 700 crore to develop two facilities in the state, in phases over the next few years. As a part of the deal, a skill development centre with a 1,000-seat capacity will also be developed. "The creation of this Global Centre is aligned with our strategic vision to expand and create opportunities in the emerging cities. Reliance Infrastructure Limited EPC has successfully bagged the Letter of Award (LOA) from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) for its new railway project worth 774 crores. The project is aimed at the construction of third rail line between Jimidipeta and Gotlam on East Coast Railway on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis, revealed the company on Thursday. It will also undertake construction of 13 railway stations and staff quarters while including work in track, electrification, civil, telecom and building the rail line that will run in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. Google India Inks MoU with Telangana Government

Google India and Telangana government have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at supporting the digitisation efforts of the state. Google India will provide Google Cloud credits and access to all cloud platform products to eligible startups engaged with Telangana government's T-Hub initiative and through its Developer Relations team provide technical mentorship and advisory support to various startups, a release issued by the government said here today.
