Unsold Players
It was indeed a good day for many other players like- Kedar Jhadav, Ravichandran Ashwin, Dinesh Karthik and many more. But many, didn’t get quite lucky. The following players were expected to be sold on the first day:
Today’s biggest surprise was West Indies hard hitting batsman ‘Chris Gayle’ went unsold. He was sold in 2017 at Rs 9.5 crore. This year, after day 1 he is yet to be sold. A heart-break for his fans!
Murali Vijay, who is India’s one of top batsman has also not seen any luck since now this season. He was last year replaced by Ishant Sharma.
In the list of not-yet-sold the next name is the captain of England- Joe Root who did not take part in the auction last year. How happy is his return, only tomorrow will tell.
Lasith Malinga, who was earlier sold for Rs 7.5 crore has not seen any good day today either. He too goes unsold.
Finally, Ishant Sharma, who was sold for Rs 2 crore last year has not been touched this season. After the end of first day, he goes unsold.
Not to lose hope, there’s still a lot that is expected from the second and final day of IPL 2018 Auction. These players have a good chance to get sold out on the second day. There’s still a lot of excitement that awaits.
