The Genesis of Festivefeel.com

Komal Nag and her sister Shweta used to hunt for beautiful designs of jewellery And they found that these were just not available. They live in city of Nawab’s – Lucknow and they found that market was loaded with tonnes of traditional, ethnic designs, but modern and stylish fashion jewellery was almost impossible to find. It was actually rare to find anything as per their expectation. With precious jewellery, designs are limited and the pieces anyone can have are also very limited. And this problem was also in jewellery being sold online!

And they discovered that this problem was faced by their friends as well. And hence the idea of festivefeel.com came up.

Komal and Shweta are the co-founders of the enterprise. Shweta is MBA and is handling marketing and technical issues at Festivefeel.com. Komal who is already an entrepreneur & designer for last 3 years at Wizfactory, is the driving force behind the creativity section of the enterprise.

As they are just two months old, they have a small dedicated team of four, which they plan to expand as their clientele grows. They have partnered with Delhivery for fast deliveries anywhere in India.

The Unique Niche

Komal and Shweta feel that they occupy a niche in the market where they have no direct competition. The online sites specialising in jewellery are all looking at precious jewellery and of very traditional designs. Other online sites that offer fashion jewellery are actually bouquet stores that are catering for accessories as well. Festivefeel.com is unique in this manner that they are focussing only on modern fashion jewellery.

Their range of jewellery covers a large range of pendants, earrings, rings, bracelets, brooches, anklets, necklace sets and great ideas for gifts!

 

Also their approach is different.

Komal and Shweta go through several rounds of shopping and hunting for exclusive pieces of jewellery – and at the best prices. They do not go for bulk purchases. They literally go through about a thousand pieces for every one piece that they select. And they scour all types of markets all over India for these pieces. Hence the jewellery that finds itself on their site is beautiful, fashionable and literally handpicked. When you shop with them, you get pieces that are truly exclusive, pleasing to the eye and soothing to your purse.

Their target market is actually all women! However, they understand that women in the age group 18 – 32 who are college going or professionals and need easy to wear, trendy, funky jewellery that is not too expensive. Their advantage is that they are a part of their target age group – hence they instinctively understand what their customers want. They also understand that while women in India have a large collection of traditional jewellery, there is space in their wardrobe for modernistic fashion jewellery.
