Google Celebrates its 20th Birthday with a Special Doodle

World’s largest and most popular search engine Google has completed 20 years of its existence that have fully changed the lives of people all over the world. Google was founded in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were Ph.D. students.

The company has been growing rapidly since its establishment and has triggered a chain of products, acquisitions, and partnerships beyond Google’s core search engine. Google is the most valuable brand in the world as of 2017 and continues to be as important in 2018 as well.

Today, the technology giant is celebrating its 20th birthday with a special doodle on its platform. It comprises a 1.37-minute-long video which ‘takes a stroll down memory lane by exploring popular searches all over the world throughout the last two decades.’

It shows the journey of the tech-company from being a simple search engine to a global tech giant. It also shows how Google had the answer to each and every question ranging from specific to the general ones in a number of languages.

“Twenty (ish) years ago, two Stanford Ph.D. students launched a new search engine with a bold mission to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful. Though much has changed in the intervening years—including now offering Search in more than 150 languages and over 190 countries—Google is still dedicated to building products for everyone”, a Google doodle page says.

Though the Google founders first registered the google.com domain in 1997, they didn’t officially incorporate Google, the company, until the next year. Google was officially founded in 1998.

Google has grown larger over the years as the search options are now available in more than 150 languages and over 190 countries-Google is still dedicated to building products for everyone. We wish a Happy Birthday to Google!
