Pinterest Terminates Lease of New Office Space

SAN FRANCISCO, 31st Aug 2020--  Visual discovery platform Pinterest has terminated its lease for approximately 490,000 square feet of office space to be constructed near its current headquarters campus in San Francisco, California. Instead, the company’s present plan is to continue to lease its current buildings in downtown San Francisco and remain an active member of the local community. Facebook Acquires Israeli Messaging Company REDKIX

Redkix, an Israeli email startup that provides tools to combines email, messaging and calendar features more effectively into one app has been acquired by Facebook. Facebook made the purchase in hopes of building out its own communication features inside Workplace, which is the enterprise version of Facebook. Redkix has raised $20 million and has offices in both Silicon Valley and Israel, it had from investors including Salesforce Ventures, has offices in California and Tel Aviv. Facebook introduced Workplace (formerly known as Facebook at Work) as a pilot project about a year and a half ago adding some big companies and startups.
