Mumbai Based Home Services Startup Taskbob Shuts Shop

Mumbai-based home services startup Taskbob has shut shop without specifying any particular reason. In an internal communication, Taskbob co-founder and CEO Aseem Khare said the company shut down its operations as of January 19 due to unforeseen circumstances. Bengaluru-based EatFresh, a food-tech startup operated by Chennai-based Ubiquitous Foods Pvt Ltd that also runs the bakery chain Ovenfresh, has shut down its retail food delivery services. The company had altogether raised Rs 25 crore from kalaari capital. Hit by a cash crunch, e-commerce company AskMe has decided to shut shop, leaving 4,000 staffers jobless, while its majority investor Astro said it will appoint a forensic auditor to review the books of the startups parent firm Getit. PepperTap, a Hyperlocal delivery startup founded in 2013 by Navneet Singh and Milind Sharma shuts down its grocery delivery operations.
