SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., July 25, 2019-- Standard Cognition, which is building the next interface of retail, announced today that it has raised a $35M Series B funding round led by the EQT Ventures fund (“EQT Ventures”) with participation from existing investors Initialized Capital, CRV and Y Combinator. This brings Standard’s total funding to date to more than $86M, and its post-money valuation to $535M more than a 2x increase since the company raised its Series A in Nov 2018. E-commerce major Amazon India today said it has doubled the number of merchants on its e- commerce platform to two lakh in less than a year. Amazon.in has crossed the two million seller base mark in just four years of the companys operations in India, Amazon.in said in a statement. E-commerce giant Amazon remains bullish on India, introducing new features for customers and sellers, even as the region continues to weigh heavy on the US-based company's finance. For the December quarter, Amazon's International business posted an operating loss of USD 487 million, up significantly from USD 108 million in the year-ago period. Only 3% Mobile App Users in India Spend Money on In-App Purchases

Just about 3.1 per cent of mobile app users in India spend money on in-app purchases compared to 5.2 per cent globally, according to a new report. However, Indian users spend almost as much as global average for in-app buys. "Only 5.2 per cent of users spend money on in-app purchases globally and in India it is 3.1 per cent. The average paying user however spends USD 9.60 in monthly transactions per app with purchase activity globally -- and USD 8.78 in India," said the State of In-App Spending report by AppsFlyer, a mobile marketing attribution analytics company.
