Apple, as we know it today, started off as Apple Computer Inc. on its roller-coaster journey where Steve Jobs, was forced out of his own company, after which he even created another firm called 'NeXT' that later merged into Apple in 1997.   The Story of STEVES Apple was found by two of the Steve's (Jobs and Wozniak) who met through a common friend named Bill Fernandez, and, bonded over their shared passion and love for technology. Apple Faces Lawsuits After Saying It Slows Down Aging iPhones

Apple Inc defrauded iPhone users by slowing devices without warning to compensate for poor battery performance, according to eight lawsuits filed in various federal courts in the week since the company opened up about the year-old software change. The tweak may have led iPhone owners to misguided attempts to resolve issues over the last year, the lawsuits contend. All the lawsuits - filed in U.S. District Courts in California, New York and Illinois - seek class-action to represent potentially millions of iPhone owners nationwide.  A similar case was lodged in an Israeli court on Monday, the newspaper Haaretz reported. Apple did not respond to an email seeking comment on the filings. The company acknowledged last week for the first time in detail that operating system updates...

Apple Could Drop Qualcomm Components In Next Year’s iPhones, iPads: Sources

Apple Inc has designed iPhones and iPads that would drop chips supplied by Qualcomm Inc, according to two people familiar with the matter. The change would affect iPhones released in the fall of 2018, but Apple could still change course before then, these people said. They declined to be identified because they were not authorized to discuss the matter with the media. The dispute stems from a change in supply arrangements under which Qualcomm has stopped providing some software for Apple to test its chips in its iPhone designs, one of the people told Reuters. The two companies are locked in a multinational legal dispute over the Qualcomm’s licensing terms to Apple. “We are committed to supporting Apple’s new devices consistent with our support of all others in the industry,” Qual...

Google Bringing its Voice Based Digital Assistant to iPhone To Challenge Siri

Alphabet's Google is bringing its digital assistant to Apple's iPhone, making a play for the higher end of the smartphone market and challenging Apple's Siri feature on its own devices. The announcement heralds a step by Google, whose Android operating system runs on the majority of the world's smartphones, to get a foothold on Apple's phones, which have smaller market share but are used by people who tend to spend more on technology. It comes as Google, Apple and Amazon.com are competing to establish dominance in the voice-powered digital assistant segment, which many in the industry believe will supplant keyboards and touch screens as a primary way that users interact with technology. Speaking at an annual developer conference in Mountain View, California, Google Chief Executive S...
