After a recent update introducing peer to peer payments, WhatsApp is looking for a full time hire in India to handle its business strategy and product lineup.
The position is based in Mumbai and the WhatsApp team will report directly to Chief Operating officer in California.
This is a senior level position that requires a proven experience as well a track record in a reputed organization. The candidate will need to work on building partnerships with engineering and product teams while acting as a representative for WhatsApp brand for a long term.
The candidate that mega messaging app is looking for hiring should be a heavy user of WhatsApp with a 15-year proven experience in product-driven companies and more than 5 years of experience with technology payments in India.
WhatsApp at the same time is also not ready to compromise on presentation skills and wants the candidate to have excellent communication well suited to work in startup environments and business development while having remarkable negotiation power to make it to complex deals.
As far as academic eligibility is concerned, the candidates with a BE or MS in Science, Engineering or Business can apply.
With an active market of over 200 million monthly users in India, it is quite practical to understand the need for a permanent country head to look after WhatsApp product operations in India.
