Aditya Agarwal, Dropbox current VP of Engineering, will be taking on the role of CTO, the file sharing company said in a press release. In this new position, Aditya will lead Dropbox, a file hosting service, innovation efforts while continuing to manage our world-class product engineering team. Arash Ferdowsi, the co-founder of the company, who’s served as CTO to date, will continue to focus his day-to-day activities on helping Dropbox scale as a company and business.
Aditya Agarwal has played an instrumental role in building products like Dropbox Business, Dropbox Enterprise, Dropbox Paper, and Dropbox Infinite. He’s also scaled our engineering team from 20 to hundreds of people across multiple locations. Aditya joined Dropbox through the acquisition of Cove, a company focused on building modern collaboration products, where he was a co-founder. Before coming to Dropbox, he was an early engineer and Director of Product Engineering at Facebook, where he oversaw the development of core products like news feed, search, profile, and photos. He currently serves on the boards of the Anita Borg Institute and Flipkart.
