Hyderabad based Life Circle Health Services has raised an amount of $150,000 as funding from European senior healthcare service provider GROUPE SOS. Life Circle is a home nursing service start-up being incubated at T-Hub, an incubation centre initiated by the Telangana government.
Anant Kumar, Founder and CEO of Life Circle, said that they have offered over 150,000 hours of home nursing services till date. Life Circle provides verified caregivers to create a seamless continuum of care. They offer work related training and psychological counselling to the caretakers to give flexible care and engagement to the seniors.
With these funds, the company plans to expand its services in the Hyderabad market. Very soon the company would launch its services in New Delhi – NCR markets. It has set a target to reach 20 cities in India by 2020.
According to Srinivas Kollipara, Founder and COO of T-Hub, in India 36% of urban senior citizens above 60 years are immobile. There are 60% seniors who are immobile over 70 years of age. As the family members cannot take care of them alone, there is a rising demand for professional home nursing services in India. T-Hub feels that innovation in healthcare is growing day by day in the country as well as abroad.
Along with the investment, GROUPE SOS would also share its technical knowledge and global practices with Life Circle. GROUPE SOS’ Founder and President Jean-Marc Borello said that the European firm has over 30 years of experience. It is operating in France where best elder healthcare services are provided in the world. The company’s experience in managing home nursing teams and its training courses for caregivers would help seniors in India, he said.
