International Agency Hurun recently released the names of top 10 richest person in India. The list was topped by none other than Mukesh Ambani with over 58% jump in his net worth. Storming into Top 10 for the first time, 44-year-old Patanjali's CEO Acharya Balkrishna has become the 8th richest person in the country after 173 per cent rise in his wealth to Rs 70,000 crore. Indian Unicorn Startups To Launch Nasscom Like Lobby Group- Indiatech.org

India’s Unicorn Internet startups Flipkart and Ola are grouping together with peers including travel portal MakeMyTrip to launch a Nasscom like industry body that will be representing their interests and aim to deal with deep pocketed rivals, and sustain their existence in one of the world’s most prized markets for digital commerce. The lobby group will be called Indiatech.org — and will be led by Sachin Bansal, as its President and Chairman; appointing a former IAS officer as its CEO, said four people aware of the matter. The former bureaucrat is expected to join in 2-3 weeks. Tech Startup Synup Bags $6 Mn Series A Funding

Bangalore-based startup Synup that provides Saas solutions for marketing of local businesses, has raised $6 million in Series A funding led by Vertex Ventures. The round also saw the participation of its existing investor Prime Venture Partners. Launched back in 2014, Synup was founded by 23-year-old Ashwin Ramesh along with industry veterans Mohan Gopalakrishnan and Karthik Krishnamoorthy.The startup caters to merchants currently in the US, but has plans to start operations in Western Europe and the UK as well. With the funding in hand, it will focus on strengthening its tech platform to cater to a larger chunk of merchants and expand to newer geographies. Alphabet Inc's Google has finally forayed into the payments space, by launching its app 'Tez' exclusively in India on Android and iOS. The app is now available on Play Store and App store for the users to download. Google’s VP for Next Billion Users Caesar Sengupta launched the app at an event in New Delhi in the presence of Finance Minister Arun Jaitely.
