UCWeb, a subsidiary of Alibaba Digital Media and Entertainment Group, announced the launch of a new product called UC Share that will enable users to transfer files and share application at high-speed.
UCWeb also updated its most popular app, the UC Browser, which is the most trusted mobile browser in India as well as 9Apps, a widely used substitute to Google’s PlayStore that allows the installation of popular Android apps and equipped with file sharing features.
UCWeb is aiming to cement its leading position as a mobile internet service provider with the launch of UC Share by enabling mobile users of benefiting several mobile phone features for free.
UCWeb is already acclaimed for providing a fast internet browsing experience with UC Share but wishes to invest its technology in the mobile phone file sharing field as well. UC Share allows users to transfer an image at a speed of 0.2 seconds, a song within 1 second and a full movie within 22 seconds. UC Share can transfer files at a maximum speed of 21MB per second, while its average file transfer speed stands at 5MB per second.
Moreover, the app has been developed to cater file sharing anytime, irrespective of location or network condition without impacting the users’ data consumption. The app itself is very light, and only occupies a space of 1 MB of the phone’s internal memory, which is significantly less than the competition.
UC Web is famous for the development of user-friendly and easy-to-use apps and with the arrival of UC Share on the app market, the company is yet again demonstrating just that. UC Share will allow users to connect with one another via users’ icon or QR Code. The app will also save previous senders and receivers as icons on the App to facilitate future use among peers. Additionally, through the app, users will be able to browse and search for their favourite music, video and pictures based on their settings, therefore avoiding repetition of action.
UC Share will also possess a quick access to recently transferred files.
