Snapchat Introduces its All New Sound Reacting Lens

The multimedia messaging app ‘Snapchat’ has reportedly introduced its first-ever lens that will not only react to what it sees but also to the sound.

The lens will produce a cute animal face overlay with moveable eyes and ears that pulse and glimmer, depending on the sound. However, Snapchat has yet not revealed exactly the sounds on which the Lens reacts in certain ways, but it seems like the louder the noise, the more will be the reaction of the lens. The company plans to launch more such lenses over the coming week that react to sound as well as what they see.

Snapchat already had quite a few fascinating Lenses one can play with, which includes its body-tracking ones that follow us around and its majestic sky whale Lens that uses sky segmentation technology. The app announced its “Lens Studio” software in April to allow users to create 2D and 3D Augmented Reality (AR)-based selfie lenses and unlock new filters created by other Snapchat users and artists. And now, by introducing the new sound tracking lens, it surely is up for an increased usage by the young generation.

Lately, Snapchat had been under tremendous pressure due to the strong negative reaction of people regarding the updated version which witnessed multiple in-app changes, but it surely is putting various efforts to make up for it.

Snapchat’s new sound reacting lens is now available and all the Snapchat lovers can now head over to the mobile app to enjoy the new filter.
