Samsung Galaxy S8 “Burgundy Red” Edition Launched in India

Samsung India has launched a burgundy red color variant of its last year’s Galaxy S8 smartphone on April 9, Monday.

While the company had introduced its Galaxy S8 series earlier in 2017, the color variants available were limited to Maple Gold, Midnight Blue, and Orchid Grey. A new burgundy red addition to the smartphone range has come right after Apple’s iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus red edition has already come on the market.

Aditya Babbar, General Manager at Samsung India said,

Galaxy S8 continues to be a bestseller even after its one year launch. The new Burgundy Red edition will amaze customers and allow them to express their own personal style.

The new burgundy edition of Galaxy S8 will cost Rs. 49,990 and will be available via sale from 13 April.Collaborating with Paytm, the company is offering a cashback of Rs. 10,000 that will reduce the cost to Rs. 39,900.

Talking of specifications, Galaxy S8 is empowered with Exynos 8895 paired with 64 GB internal storage and 4 GB of RAM. It was launched with Android Nougat but will soon receive an update for Android Oreo 8.0 operating system. The phone comprises a 5.8 inch AMOLED screen with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio.The phone supports a micro SD slot( up to 256 GB support) and comes with a dual SIM configuration

The phone in-house a 12-megapixel camera with a dual pixel support assisted for optical image stabilization. In the front, it has an 8 MP camera with a f/1.7 aperture. The phone is built with 3,000 mAH battery and supports wireless as well as fast charging.
