LinkedIn Brings In Voice Messaging Feature on Its Platform

LinkedIn, the leading professional social networking platform has introduced voice messaging support. This will let the users send voice messages to their professional connections.

This new feature will be launched on the LinkedIn app for both Android and iOS devices. This particular feature will be available all over the world in the next few weeks. Voice messaging these days has become an important part of the social networking. Almost all the messaging apps have this feature on their platform.

“Whether you’re responding while walking or multitasking, or need to give an in-depth explanation, voice messages let you more easily and quickly communicate in your own voice with your connections,” said Zack Hendlin, Senior Product Manager, LinkedIn.

This latest feature will bring in a new attachment icon with an ability to stretch the compose box, and the option to use @mentions to bring someone in a group or individual message. LinkedIn for iOS separately will also add translations to posts available in the newsfeed.

The Microsoft-owned LinkedIn considers that voice messaging can be a smooth and hassle-free way for professionals as well. The professional social platform the latest feature will also assist the users to speak in their own voices and create a more personal connection and effectively communicate. Similarly, the company also stated that it can often be better to leave a voice message for recipients than calling them. Voice messages on LinkedIn can be received on the app as well as on the web.

How will the voice messaging feature on LinkedIn work?

To start recording the voice message, the user would tap the microphone icon from his keypad and then tap and hold on the microphone in the circle. Once recorded, he just needs to release the finger to send it the LinkedIn connection. The user can also slide his finger away from the microphone icon while holding it down to cancel the voice recording before sending it to your connection, in case he does not want to send it.
