The Facebook-owned multimedia social platform Instagram has announced the launch of its new mobile application called IGTV on Wednesday, which will allow the users to upload up to an hour long videos, generating a battle with YouTube. This is a further example of the battle between the media giants hotting up. Previously, Youtube was the way to get famous but now you can become famous on Instagram with Buzzoid helping you out.
The new IGTV service will be made available to the users in the coming few weeks through the main Instagram app as well as a new standalone platform offering the new content. In the main app, the feature will appear via a TV-shaped button above the stories while launching the IGTV app will see videos begin playing spontaneously. Until now, Instagram allowed the users to upload short videos only up to one minute but now with the new feature, the app is going to boost up the user base even more.

The photo and video sharing app has exceeded one billion users and with the step, it is sure to increase even more. This feature will be greatly helpful to the influencers and creators that earn and carry on their business through Instagram. Anyone smaller and new accounts who want to create and upload up to an hour long videos can do it with a lot of ease. The increase in the length of videos can have more of an impact on the target audience, this way you may get more followers as well. I know Upleap is a great site that can help and advice you on how to get more instagram followers.
“Teens are now watching 40 percent less TV than they did five years ago. It’s time for video to move forward and evolve,” said Kevin Systrom, Instagram Chief Executive at the launch event of IGTV. “IGTV is for watching long-from videos from your favorite creators,” he added.
IGTV will also allow creators to develop Instagram Channels full of their videos that people can subscribe to. They will be able to put links in the description of their videos to attract viewers elsewhere.
Along with this, the good part is that the videos will be ad-free. However, Instagram will not be directly paying any creator for video uploads. With this new service and mobile application, Instagram is expected to give a good competition to the world’s largest video platform YouTube.
