World is contracting with the growth of mobile phone technology with the number of mobile phone users increasing day by day. Starting with simple regular devices which were used just for making phone calls, mobile phones have entirely changed our lives and have become a vital part of it.  Now, they are not only used for making calls, but also have innumerable uses and can be used as a Camera , Music player, Tablet PC, T.V. , Web browser etc. With this technology growth, new and updated software and operating systems are required which led to the birth of ‘Android’.

Starting from black and white phones to recent smartphones or mini computers, mobile OS has come far away. Today, the most popular and used operating system that has captured the smartphone market is Android that was launched exactly 10 years back on 23rd September, 2008.

Android is a software bunch comprising not only operating system but also middleware and key applications which was founded in Palo Alto of California by Andy Rubin, Rich miner, Nick sears and Chris White. Later the operating system was acquired by Google in 2005. After the original release, there have been a lot of updates in the original version of the operating system.

This was primarily for touch screen mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers. It has got millions of apps available through the Google Play Store that can help you in managing your life one or other way. The hardwares that support Android are mainly based on ARM architecture platform.
