Google has announced a new four-month training programme for gaming startups and developers in Asia as a special edition of Google Launchpad Accelerator.
Dubbed as “Indie Games Accelerator Programme“, Google is targetting gaming start-ups based in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand or Vietnam who will have an opportunity to work with mentors from Google and the gaming industry.

We’re always looking for new ways to support developers. So, as a special edition of the Launchpad Accelerator, we’re announcing a new four-month Indie Gaming Accelerator to train promising developers from these countries in Asia.
How will startups benefit from the program?
Under the program, Google will offer support to gaming startups, helping developers with the best people insights, technology and Google network.
In Addition, participants will be given Google Cloud Platform credit and invite to Google along with other industry events. Interestingly, Oracle Startup Cloud Accelerator Programme has been popular in India besides Google’s programme.
According to data gathered, India accounts for around 13% of the world’s online mobile gaming population. Moreover, a report by Flurry Analytics, India currently ranks among the top five countries in the world for online and mobile gaming.
