Apple, the leading player in the smartphone market, is gearing up to come up and introduce three iPhone lines this autumn. The company is expected to completely change its iPhone platform to OLED screens in the upcoming models.
“Apple has decided to put OLED in all new iPhone models in 2019,” a source said. “However, if there are more than three new models, an LCD model may be maintained.”
Out of the three iPhone models, one will be a 5.8-inch iPhone X with higher specifications and a lesser price. This particular model is said to take the $1000 price point from the iPhone X, and therefore, it will be less expensive priced around $700.
The second iPhone will be a fresh model of 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus with an OLED screen.
And the third one will we a 6.1-inch iPhone along with Face ID. This model is expected to be launched in several colors that include white, grey, red, blue and orange. This model will be the least expensive one and will possibly resemble the iPhone X. However, the company may acknowledge dual cameras only in the higher priced iPhones.
“We predict Apple (US) will launch three new iPhone models in 2H18: 6.5-inch and 5.8-inch OLED models and a 6.1-inch TFT-LCD model, all equipped with a full-screen design and TrueDepth Camera (front 3D sensing), as with iPhone X,” the supply chain report read.
This might be the first time that Apple is bringing in so many color option in its monochrome phone market. Till now, all the iPhone models have been mostly available in greys and blacks with most vendors offering a couple of color options through special editions. But, this time the color options might interest the customers. Earlier, the company brought in the color options in the budget-friendly iPhone 5C model.
Apple is widely expected to release these three models in September 2018 and its quite clear that the iPhone users will be interested by this news.
