Washington, Sep 25, 2020: The United States announced USD 150 million to invest in training for middle-to-high-skilled H-1B occupations in key sectors in the American economy. Prominent among these sectors are information technology, cyber security, advanced manufacturing, transportation, wherein the H-1B One Workforce grant programme would be used to upskill the present workforce and train a new generation of workers to grow the future workforce, the Department of Labor said. PLEASANTON, Calif., June 18th, 2020 -- Upskilling platform, Degreed has raised $32 million in new funding in direct response to overwhelming demand for better skill insights, talent mobility, and a user-focused learning experience. Hotel Chain Treebo Lays Off 70-80 Employees

Hospitality company Treebo has laid off between 70-80 workers, or about 10% of its 800- strong workforce. Currently, It consists of 800 people working under its brand. These layoffs are in line with the company's efforts to double down on its technology products and processes even as it looks to rationalise prices. Treebo Hotels is India's third largest hotel chain which operates in the budget segment of the hospitality industry.
