Bollywood Actor Ajay Devgn Launched His Multiplex Theater in UP, 50 More Into Pipeline

The popular Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn has launched a theatre under the name ‘NY Cinemas’ in Ghazipur, a city in Uttar Pradesh. The actor from the previous year has been working simultaneously towards establishing a chain of multiplexes. Ajay acquired six single-screen theaters in Uttar Pradesh last year with an aim to transform into modern multiplexes. He mainly tries to focus on those areas that have a sizeable audience for Bollywood films but lack multiplexes. His first multiplex has now been launched in Ghazipur. Walmart Plans to Offer 30,000 Jobs in Uttar Pradesh

The multinational retail corporation Walmart is seeing Uttar Pradesh as a major source of recruitment. The company is seeking to offer at least 30,000 local jobs by setting up 15 stores in the state. Walmart India at present operates four Cash and Carry stores in UP and had recently launched a fulfillment center (FC) in Lucknow, which offered 1,500 fresh skilled jobs. "Each store is likely to create 2,000 direct and indirect jobs, thereby generating at least 30,000 local jobs in the state," said Rajneesh Kumar, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer who represented Walmart India in the Investment Summit. Ananda, a dairy and dairy products manufacturer installed two company owned, company operated (COCO) retails in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The company is currently targeting launching about 150 stores in the city by FY 2018-19 with an investment of over Rs 10 crore to deliver quality dairy and dairy products to a larger customer base. The investment comes as a portion of an earlier pledge of Rs 500 crore to invest in the state made during the UP Investors Summit 2018.
