Bollywood Actor Ajay Devgn Launched His Multiplex Theater in UP, 50 More Into Pipeline

The popular Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn has launched a theatre under the name ‘NY Cinemas’ in Ghazipur, a city in Uttar Pradesh. The actor from the previous year has been working simultaneously towards establishing a chain of multiplexes. Ajay acquired six single-screen theaters in Uttar Pradesh last year with an aim to transform into modern multiplexes. He mainly tries to focus on those areas that have a sizeable audience for Bollywood films but lack multiplexes. His first multiplex has now been launched in Ghazipur. The BJP and its allies marched ahead in 305 Assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh as per trends from all the 403 seats, which showed the SP-Congress coalition leading in 68 places and BSP in only 20. Trends available till midday showed that the saffron party and its allies Apna Dal (Soneylal Patel) and Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party (SBSP) were way ahead, relegating rivals SP-Congress combine and the BSP to the second and third slots. Paytm Payment Bank Received 218 Cr Funding From Vijay Shekhar Sharma & One97 Communications

Vijay Shekhar Sharma, founder and CEO of Paytm & One97 Communications infused 218 Cr in its new venture Paytm Payments Bank. According to the report Vijay Shekhar will invest Rs 111 Crore and while One97 Communications Invest 107 Crore out of Rs 218 crore fresh capital. The payment bank will start operations this month from Uttar Pradesh. Earlier in January, Paytm received RBI nod to start the bank. Till date, Paytm Payments Bank has issued 2,18,000,000 shares to the three shareholders. In others, Airtel Payments Bank and India Post Payments Bank already launched their operations. Betting big on the booming Indian smartphone market, Chinese smartphone maker Oppo is planning an industrial park in Greater Noida which will house a manufacturing unit. "We already have a production unit in India and the SMT (surface-mount technology) centre is now undergoing the furnishment...it will be finished in February. Also, with regard to the industrial park, we will have the agreement signing press conference at the end of next month," Sky Li, vice president of Oppo and managing director of international mobile business and President of Oppo India. Uttar Pradesh Rolls Out Major Incentives to Boost Startups

In a bid to boost startups, particularly in the information technology sector, the Uttar Pradesh government has waived off the stamp duty on land purchased for building offices or built-up offices, an official said on Friday. This has been done under the IT and StartUp Policy-2016 rolled out by the Akhilesh Yadav government. However, the government has put a rider that these units getting exemptions must commence their operations within the next three years. Similarly, the electricity duty for these units has been waived off for almost five years. It has also been decided to provide grants to these units to contribute to the employees' provident fund.
