DriveU Raises Funding From Ex-Google Inc Executive Amit Singhal

DriveU, a startup that specializes in providing private drivers on-demand, recently secured Rs 1.6 Cr in a Pre-Series A round funding led by ex google executive Amitabh and Shilpa Singhal’s investment vehicle, Living Trust. The startup operated by Humble Mobile Solutions Private Limited first allotted 6449 shares at Rs 10 each and a premium of 2,490. While it was rumoured that Amit Singhal and DriveU’s existing investor, Unitus Seed Fund had invested about Rs 20 crore in the startup, it actually seems that the total about of this funding round amounted to Rs 1.6 Cr only. Blowhorn Raises Rs 25 Crore From IDG Ventures & Others

Intra-city logistics start-up, Blowhorn, has raised USD 3.65 million (about Rs 25 crore) from IDG Ventures India, Michael & Susan Dell Foundation and existing investors Draper Associates and Unitus Seed Fund. The company plans to utilise the proceeds from the Series A funding to expand operations to eight cities in the next 24 months, with over 25,000 daily active drivers, Blowhorn said in a statement. Education Start-up Cuemath Raises $4 million

Cuelearn Pvt Ltd also known as Cuemath runs an Education start-up has raised $4 million from Sequoia venture capital firm and existing investor Unitus Seed Fund. With this round of funding, Cuemath aims to expand to international markets and increase the number of teachers that use its platform from 1,200 to 5,000. The firm declined to say how many students use its platform. “What we are essentially saying is that we don’t require someone to teach actively.
