Starbucks to Add Delivery Services to more than 2,000 Stores Through Uber Eats

The most popular coffee store Starbucks is expanding its partnership with Uber Eats to more than 2,000 stores in the United States next year, about a quarter of all of the company’s locations in the country. Starbucks first launched its program, Starbuck Delivers, as a pilot in September, serving people in Miami and Tokyo. Its coffee delivery roots actually began in China through a partnership with Alibaba and on-demand food delivery service Ele.me. The company also piloted a delivery service through two supermarkets in Shanghai and Hangzhou. It’s an experiment that appears to have had some success. CCD and Uber Eats Partner to Launch Virtual Restaurant Chain in India

Food delivery major Uber Eats has entered into an association with cafe chain Café Coffee Day (CCD) to launch a network of virtual restaurants across multiple brands. These will be available for delivery exclusively on Uber Eats. In this partnership, Uber Eats will share data, analytics and insights with CCD to help the latter identify food that is most desired and thus design cuisine-specific menus under various brands that will be separate from its existing menu and available for delivery only. This partnership will allow Café Coffee Day and Uber Eats to launch menu offerings as per evolving consumer trends, for multiple ‘delivery-only’ virtual restaurants.
