Hyperloop One today announced the successful completion of the world's first full systems Hyperloop test in a vacuum environment. This test was Phase 1 of a multi-phase program and was privately conducted on May 12, 2017 at the company's test track, 'DevLoop' in the Nevada Desert. Transportation app Ola today said it has roped in two new executives, Pranav Tiwari and Sanjay Kharb, to strengthen its core technology leadership. Tiwari, former CTO of Cellworks, has joined Ola as Vice President of Engineering and will work towards optimising growth and profitability by bringing in necessary efficiencies in the supply chain function, Ola said in a statement. Eyeing a larger market share, logistics solutions provider Rivigo is banking on drivers relay system for faster delivery of goods and is looking to take its trucking fleet to 3,000 this fiscal. The firm, which has a fleet of 800 trucks, claims that based on its innovative drivers relay system, truck loads are delivered to Chennai from Delhi in two days instead of conventional eight days. With the second phase of odd-even scheme set to be rolled out from tomorrow, ride-sharing startups are lining up with free rides and scaling up operations to handle higher demand from consumers. The odd-even scheme was implemented on an experimental basis from January 1 to January 15 in view of high air pollution in the national capital. The second phase will commence on April 15.
