Skype is all set to introduce a new feature known as background blur on its platform, which might raise the user base. Satya Nadella led Microsoft introduce "Background blur in Skype" which takes the stress out of turning on your video and puts the focus where it belongs on you. Background blur in Skype uses artificial intelligence (AI) trained in human form detection to keep you in focus during your call. Skype, the most popular and the oldest social networking platform for video calls has reportedly introduced the most awaited call recording feature on its platform. Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) came up with some key announcements in its regulatory meeting on Tuesday that will allow users to use internet applications such as Skype and WhatsApp to make voice calls to landline. Skype Will Use Aadhaar-based ID Authentication: Microsoft

Microsoft today said it has presented to central authorities various “case scenarios” on how its Skype service can be used for identity authentication using the Aadhaar database. “We have presented various case scenarios on how Skype can be used. We already support iris authentication (on Windows 10). Now it depends on them how they want to proceed,” Microsoft India Chairman Bhaskar Pramanik said. IANS- Technology giant Microsoft is planning to close its London office of Skype and to lay-off most of the nearly 400 people employed there, a media report here said.
