Leading B2B marketplace IndiaMART has seen a 10-fold increase in its user base over the past six years to achieve 100 million registered users on the platform. "We have aimed at making IndiaMART a one-stop-shop for all the business needs and have strived for curating a platform that is simple and convenient for millions of MSMEs in India," said Chief Operating Officer Dinesh Gulati. Nearly 36 per cent of the traffic on IndiaMART comes from metro cities and the remaining 64 per cent from tier one, tier two and smaller towns. Security and Intelligence Services (SIS), a security service provider based in New Delhi is eyeing to acquire a majority stake in another security management company for around Rs 300 crore. SIS is a BSE listed company and this acquisition will mark the very first acquisition by the security services provider that has created a war chest of around Rs 1,000 crore for acquisitions in the sector for next few years. “The deal is as good as done,” a banker close to the development stated. “SIS would have a controlling stake in the company that currently has a revenue of around Rs 400 crore,” he added. Micromax and Panasonic have partnered with telecom services firm Reliance Jio to provide free voice and data services for 90 days to smartphone buyers.
