The board of directors of this leading FMCG company has announced that January 5, 2024, will serve as the record date for the previously announced stock split. On October 19, Nestle's board granted approval for a stock split in the ratio of 1:10. This means that each equity share with a face value of ₹10 will be divided into 10 shares, each with a face value of ₹1. The stock split will result in an increased number of outstanding shares, thereby enhancing the liquidity of the share. ‘161 Indian IPO’s garner $5.52 bn till November in 2018’

Indian stock exchanges ranked second globally in terms of number of initial public offerings (IPOs), raising USD 5.52 billion from 161 offerings till November this year, according to a report. At the BSE and the National Stock Exchange, there were only two IPOs in fourth quarter of this calendar year, compared with nine and three in fourth quarter of 2017 and third quarter of 2018, respectively, said EY India IPO Trends: Q4 2018 report. A similar trend was witnessed in the small and medium enterprise (SME) market. There were eight IPOs in fourth quarter of 2018, compared with 31 and 42 in fourth quarter of 2017 and third quarter of 2018, respectively, showing a drop of 74 per cent and 81 per cent, respectively, it said. Indian Sensex Crashes Over 300 pts on Capital Gains Tax Proposal

Benchmark Sensex crashed over 300 points in afternoon trade today after Finance Minister Arun Jaitley announced 10 per cent tax on some long term capital gains in his Budget speech. The NSE Nifty also sank below the 11,000-mark during the Budget presentation. Sentiment also took a hit after the fiscal deficit target for 2017-18 was raised to 3.5 per cent of GDP as against 3.2 per cent earlier. Indian Online Travel Portal Yatra.com Listed on Nasdaq Today

Online travel firm Yatra Online Inc has been listed on the American stock exchange, Nasdaq, under the ticker symbol "YTRA" with effect from today. Yatra said it has completed the transaction with Terrapin 3 Acquisition Corporation (TRTL), which will result in TRTL becoming a partially owned subsidiary of Yatra. As a part of this process, Yatra has raised more than USD 92.5 million of primary capital from global investors, and the merged entity, 'Yatra Online Inc', will continue to be led by Yatra's management team, Yatra Online Inc said in a statement.
