Walmart Labs makes its Second Acqui-hire in India with an AI Firm

The retail giant Walmart has made its second acqui-hire in India, with a machine learning startup called Int.AI. The acquisition is being done to strengthen its technology team in the country. This will mark as the company second aqui-hire in the country. Prior to this, Walmart acqui-hired micro-app startup Appsfly in September, merging that six-member team with its customer experience engineering group. “We announced one and we just did our second one. Retail Giant Amazon in Advanced talks to Open HQ2 in Virginia

The retail giant Amazon is in advanced talks with Crystal City, a neighborhood in North Virginia that lies just south of the Washington D.C. to open its second headquarter in Virginia. Those conversations are reportedly further along and more detailed than any of the other Amazon has had with fellow top contenders. Nearby metro stops and proximity to a major airport are all requirements that are fulfilled by Crystal City. A local top real estate developer has apparently unlisted some of its buildings in the past month, in anticipation of an announcement. eBay Files a Lawsuit Against the Largest E-commerce Player

The e-commerce player eBay has reportedly filed a lawsuit against Amazon stating that the online retail giant used eBay's messaging system to steal its sellers. In the following lawsuit, eBay said Amazon representatives signed up for eBay accounts and messaged sellers to get them to sell their goods on Amazon.com. This violated its user agreement. As far as the complaint is concerned, Amazon representatives spelled out their email addresses and asked eBay sellers to talk on the phone in order to evade detection. eBay called it an “orchestrated, coordinated, worldwide campaign'' to “illegally lure eBay sellers to sell on Amazon.''
