Ola and Uber Drivers Begin a Hunger Strike

Ola and Uber, the two cab-hailing giant companies are facing tough times as their Rajasthani taxi drivers are conducting a hunger strike from today due to disagreements against the rates of commission charged by their companies that they deem too high. The drivers also conducted a strike last month that lasted nine days and ended only when the tech-firms agreed to meet some of the drivers’ demands and promised to look further in the matter of others. SBI in Association With BSNL Launched Digital Wallet ‘State Bank MobiCash’

The country’s largest lender State Bank of India   (SBI), in partnership with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Saturday launched its mobile wallet application ‘State Bank MobiCash’ for feature as well as smartphones. The new wallet services will initially be available in Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana and Bihar and expanded pan-India by the end of December. MobiCash will allow users to deposit cash through BSNL retail outlets and withdraw funds from their account. SBI already has an application named SBI Buddy for smartphone users. Airtel Pips Paytm, Launched First Airtel Payments Bank in Rajasthan

Sunil Mittal Led Bharti airtel launched first payment bank in Rajasthan on pilot project basis. The branch will be a testing point before full-scale pan-India launch, company statement in a press release. The bank known as "Airtel Payments Bank" will offer interest rate of 7.25 percent per annum on deposits in savings accounts. The company said customers in towns and villages across Rajasthan will now be able to open bank accounts at Airtel retail outlets, which will also act as Airtel banking points and offer a range of basic banking services. "With this, Airtel Bank becomes the first payments bank in the country to go live. Rajasthan Partners With Cisco For Connected Learning Solution

Rajasthan education department has partnered with US-based technology firm Cisco to promote digital learning across the state using virtual digital room solutions. "This initiative aims to enhance the quality of education through digital learning for academia to connect, collaborate, create and share content across 12 centres of State Institute for Education Management and Training (SIEMAT) in the state," Cisco said in a statement. In the run up to the Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit, agreements worth over Rs 1.5 lakh crore have been signed with companies from solar, mining, textiles and petroleum sectors, as the state gears up to become a major investment destination. Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit 2015 is slated to be held in Jaipur on November 19 and 20.
