QuikrCars Acquires Stepni, Adds Vehicle Maintenance Services

Online classifieds platform Quikr today said it has acquired Stepni, a platform that connects vehicle owners with neighbourhood service providers, for an undisclosed amount. The move strengthens Quikrs service offerings under QuikrCars and also opens cross-selling opportunities for QuikrServices, it said in a statement. Stepnis founders and team will join QuikrCars with immediate effect, it added. Since last year, Quikr made several acquisitions. QuikrHomes acquired Realty Exchange (IRX), Realtycompass and CommonFloor and made a strategic investment in A N Virtual Tech. Quikr Acquires on-Demand Beauty and Wellness Services ZapLuk

Online classifieds firm Quikr today said it has acquired ZapLuk, provider of on-demand beauty and wellness services, to scale up its AtHomeDiva business. Under its services vertical, QuikrServices, Quikr will now offer a full range of on-demand home beauty services to consumers in multiple cities including Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Gurgaon and Hyderabad, the company said. Quikr lost Rs 9 for every Re 1 earned last fiscal

One of the top two online classifieds sites in the country, Quikr saw its losses more that double last fiscal as it sought to stretch its lead over Naspers' controlled OLX with turbo charged marketing. Quikr, that counts Warburg Pincus, eBay, Kinnevik, Tiger Global, Falcon Edge, Steadview, Matrix Partners, Omidyar and Norwest Venture Partners among its investors, saw its revenue from operations grow 23.7 per cent to touch Rs 24.78 crore. The firm, however, saw total income rise to Rs 52.5 crore, thanks to 'other income'.
