Transportation app Ola today said it has roped in two new executives, Pranav Tiwari and Sanjay Kharb, to strengthen its core technology leadership. Tiwari, former CTO of Cellworks, has joined Ola as Vice President of Engineering and will work towards optimising growth and profitability by bringing in necessary efficiencies in the supply chain function, Ola said in a statement. Bengaluru: Ride-hailing service Uber Technologies Inc. has temporarily suspended offering autorickshaw rides on it platform, called uberAUTO, in Delhi, amid plans to revamp and expand the service to more Indian cities. “We are temporarily removing this product to solve specific problems that need to be resolved to help it scale,” a spokeswoman for Uber said in a statement on Wednesday. India’s largest cab aggregator Ola has joined international peers Didi Kuaidi, Lyft and GrabTaxi to form an alliance against San-Francisco-based Uber. The global alliance enables international travelers to avail cab-hailing services of the four companies through the same app they use in their home country. The partnership would provide ride-sharing coverage for India, China, Southeast Asia and the US, Ola said in a press statement. Ola eyes on 3 million daily bookings by April next year

India's leading taxi aggregator Ola is looking at a three-fold rise in the number of daily bookings through its platform to three million by April next year. Ola sees over one million daily booking requests at current scale and has served over 150 million cumulative bookings on its platform till date, it said in a statement. Currently, the Bengaluru-based company has operations in 102 cities with over 3.25 lakh vehicles are registered on its platform.   "The company Ola has grown three times its size over the last six months from April 2015.
