Huizhou city on the north of China's flourishing Pearl River Delta has turned into a ghost town after Samsung closed its three-decade old factory and shifted operations to India and Vietnam in October, in the first visible fallout of the ongoing trade war between China and the US. Foxconn boss Willing to Run for Taiwan presidency

World's leading iPhones manufacturing company Foxconn founder announced that his intention to run for the presidency of Taiwan on a ticket from the Beijing-friendly opposition Kuomintang (KMT) party. "I am willing to join the party's primary. If I win I will represent the KMT in the 2020 elections," Terry Gou said at a KMT meeting in Taipei in comments broadcast live on local TV. Oppo Becomes New Sponsor of Indian Cricket, Replaces Star India

Mobile manufacturing company OPPO today became the new sponsor of the Indian cricket team, replacing broadcasting giants Star India. The deal was about 1079 crore for 5 years. Oppo will pay Rs 4.61 crore per bilateral match and Rs 1.56 crore for an ICC event match, while STAR India paid Rs 1.92 crore per bilateral match and Rs 61 lakh for an ICC match. "The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is pleased to announce OPPO Mobiles India Private Limited as the new team sponsor for the Indian Cricket Team," the BCCI said in a statement.
