McDonald’s Global Sales Surpass 100 bln USD in 2019

Fast food retail chain McDonald said its annual sales surpassed 100 billion U.S. dollars for the first time. McDonald's Chief Executive Officer Chris Kempczinski, who took charge in November after the former CEO was dismissed, said global comparable sales growth in 2019 was the chain's highest in more than 10 years. "2019 marked a year of significant milestones for McDonald's including surpassing 100 billion dollars in Systemwide sales and achieving our highest global comparable sales growth in over a decade," said Kempczinski. The company said it would spend more on technology and research in 2020, as the world's largest burger chain bets on revamped stores and menu additions to lure diners and gain market share. McD CEO Fired Over Relationship With Employee

McDonald's chief executive officer has been pushed out of the company after violating company policy by engaging in a consensual relationship with an employee, the corporation said. McDonald said former president and CEO Steve Easterbrook demonstrated poor judgment, and that McDonald's forbids managers from having romantic relationships with direct or indirect subordinates. In an email to employees, Easterbrook acknowledged he had a relationship with an employee and said it was a mistake."Given the values of the company, I agree with the board that it is time for me to move on,". McDonald's board of directors voted on Easterbrook's departure after conducting a thorough review. Details of Easterbrook's separation package will be released Monday in a federal filing, according to a ...

McDonald Flip its Golden Logo ‘M to W’ on Women’s Day

The leading food retail chain in the world McDonald flip its logo from 'M to W' in one of its outlet in California. The spokesperson of McDonald said that flipping our trademark symbol from 'M' to 'W' is showing the mark of respect for women and "celebration of women everywhere." Though many people questions on the motive behind this move because of only 3 out 10 directors of McD are women and the salary of the women employees are less compare to the men workers. Happy #InternationalWomensDay to all of the many smart and talented women that are part of the emerging technology field! I'd flip our logo upside down but clearly McDonald's has outdone us on that. pic.twitter.com/cRibzGVNVd — BTRIC (@BTRICorg) March 8, 2018 Responding to those doubts, Spokesperson said the US take...

Mc’Donald’s Trumpet’ – Company Apologises For Hacked Tweet Slamming US President

AFP- McDonald's apologized Thursday after it briefly posted on Twitter a blast criticizing President Donald Trump, which the company blamed on a hack from an external source. They quickly deleted the tweet and offered an uncharitable appraisal of Trump, saying, "You are actually a disgusting excuse of a President and we would love to have Barack Obama back, also you have tiny hands." The tweet was removed mid-morning Thursday soon after being posted to one of McDonald's official Twitter feeds -- but not before being retweeted more than a thousand times and garnering plenty of attention in political and media circles. "Based on our investigation, we have determined that our Twitter account was hacked by an external source," said McDonald's spokeswoman Terri Hickey in a statement. ...

Buyout firms including Bain Capital, TPG Capital and Carlyle Group are also participating in the auction with a view to teaming up with Chinese strategic bidders, the people said.
