LoanTap Raises $12 Million in Funding Round

Digital lending firm LoanTap raises $12 million in series-B funding round, led by Avaana Capital. The current round also saw participation from existing investors, 3one4 Capital, India Quotient, Shunwei Capital and KaeCapital, a statement said. The platform offers customised personal loans such as rental deposit loan and holiday loan to white-collared salaried professionals in India. "LoanTap has created a strong technology backbone which offers a superior customer experience. Online Lending Platform LoanTap Raises $6.25 Million Funds

Online lending platform ‘LoanTap’ has successfully secured an amount of $6.25 million (Rs 42.83 crore) in an equity funding round. The round was led by Shunwei Capital, which is a Beijing-based venture capital firm. Apart from Shunwei Capital, the funding round also witnessed the participation of Tuscan Ventures (Mumbai-based private investment company) and Ashish Goenka (owner of Suashish Diamonds) along with existing investors such as India Quotient and Kae Capital. “Our plan is to leverage the Rs 40 crore that we have raised by four to five times to source around Rs 200 crore from lending institutions, which will be used to lend out to more consumers,” said Satyam Kumar, co-founder of LoanTap. Fintech Startup LoanTap Raises Rs 26 crore For Business Expansion

LoanTap Financial Technologies today said it has raised USD 4 million (about Rs 26 crore) in second round of funding, which will be invested in software and expand its footprint in tier 2 and 3 cities. "LoanTap Financial Technologies, an online personal loan company with in-house NBFC, has announced closing of its second round funding at USD 4 million," the company said in a statement. Fintech Firm LoanTap Raises $3 mn From HNIs

Fintech platform LoanTap today said it has secured USD 3 million in a first strategic round of funding (Series A) from high net worth individuals (HNIs) Abhishek Pandey and Jaysukh Sapra. LoanTap said nearly 85 per cent of the funding, which was led by Mumbai-based HNIs, will be used for onward lending by the platform, while a part of the remaining capital will also be used to augment its technology and distribution frameworks.
