Jungle Ventures invests in BookMyShow’s Southeast Asia Business

Bigtree Entertainment Singapore Pte Ltd, which owns and operates BookMyShow's South East Asia business said Singapore-based Jungle Ventures has invested in the company. The company however, did not disclose the financial details of the transaction. The capital will be used to strengthen BookMyShow SEA's technology operations and grow its capabilities to cater to the rising entertainment demands in the Southeast Asian region, a company statement said. With this first external fund raise for the firm's Southeast Asian business, BookMyShow SEA will shift its headquarters to Singapore, it added. Jungle Ventures Raises $240 Million

SINGAPORE, Oct. 29, 2019-- Jungle Ventures, one of Southeast Asia's largest early-stage venture capital firms closed its third fund Jungle Ventures III. The firm raised a total of $240 million, which includes $40 million raised in separately managed account commitments, for investments in innovative technology and digital-driven consumer businesses across Southeast Asia. Jungle raised more than double the amount of its previous fund, Jungle Ventures II (2016), with nearly 60% of committed capital coming from outside Asia. Livspace Raises Rs 100 Cr Series B Funding From Existing Investors

Online home design company Livspace today said it has raised Rs 100 crore from existing investors in a second strategic round (Series B) of funding. The round was led by Bessemer Ventures Partners and saw participation from Jungle Ventures and Helion, Livspace said in a statement here. The funds will be used to launch services across cities -- Noida, Gurgaon, Mumbai in 2016 and Pune, Hyderabad in the first half of 2017, it added. This round of funding comes close on the heels of the company's launch of its Home Design Automation Platform.
