Travel App Ixigo acquires Confirmtkt

Travel app ixigo acquire 100 percent shares of Bengaluru-based online train discovery and booking platform Confirmtkt in an undisclosed cash and stock deal. The founders of ixigo will join the Confirmtkt board and existing investors of Confirmtkt, including Venture Catalysts, will be exiting the company fully as a part of the deal, ixigo said in a statement on Thursday. Both companies will continue to run independently, post this acquisition. Ixigo and Confirmtkt are official IRCTC B2C premium ticketing partners for online train reservations in India. "This deal will help the group to consolidate its presence in Tier 2/3/4 markets with its combined user base of nearly 200 million Indians", the statement said. Travel App Ixigo Settles GMV of $250 million

Travel meta search firm Ixigo has settled gross transactions of $250 million (about Rs 182 crore) by the end of the current financial year. “In FY 2017-18, we did GMV of $100 million, and in the year before that (FY 2016-17), we had done $25 million. Next year, we should comfortably exceed $500 million,” Aloke Bajpai, chief executive of Ixigo said. Online Travel Portal IXIGO Raises $10 Million Funding From Sequoia Capital India

Ixigo, a Gurugram-based online search marketplace portal has raised $10 million funding from Sequoia Capital India. Started in 2007, Ixigo started operation in flights, hotels, trips, trains, buses and cabs booking, where users can choose best options across multiple service providers. It has a separate mobile application for all of them. Ixigo is backed by Indian investors lyk India's largest online travel agency (OTA) MakeMyTrip and smartphone maker Micromax, besides venture capital firm SAIF Partners. Ixigo Launched Reverse Bidding Model for Outstation Cabs

Cab and taxi booking service provider Ixigo cabs recently introduced outstation cab bookings by building a marketplace of inter-city cab aggregators and vendors with a unique reverse bidding model. Inter-city commuters will no longer have to deal with calling up multiple intercity cab vendors as over 250 of them will compete internally, getting you the lowest possible fare in under 120 seconds. Ixigo set to enter inter-city cabs aggregation with Rutogo acquisition

ixigo, India’s leading mobile travel search marketplace has announced that it has completed the acquisition of Square Hoot Hikes Pvt Ltd, the parent company of Rutogo, an inter-city cabs aggregator, for an undisclosed amount.
