Apple Inc today indicated to the government that it is ready with a blueprint to begin manufacturing iPhones in India, but wants fiscal concessions, including Customs duty waiver on import of components. Apple executives made a detailed presentation on its road map for setting up a manufacturing unit in India to an inter-ministerial group headed by Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion Secretary Ramesh Abhishek, sources privy to the development said. The presentation was made by senior executives of the company, including Global Vice-President (iPhone operations) Priya Balasubramanian. Apple Suffers Worst Slowdown in iPhone Sales Since 2013

Tech giant Apple Inc has reported its worst week on the stock market since 2013 with a slowdown in iPhone sales. The shares of Apple have dropped 11 percent in the past five sessions, Reuters reported. The Revenue from China plunged further to 26 percent during the March quarter after Apple's iBooks Stores and iTunes Movie service were shut down in the country last week. "If you are going to buy Apple, you have to buy it for the long term, because the next year or two are going to be very tough," said Michael Yoshikami, chief executive of Destination Wealth Management.
