CloudFlare Brings 1.1.1.1 to Android and iOS Devices

US-based Cloudflare is finally bringing 1.1.1.1 to mobile users after announcing its privacy-focused DNS service. Now, the app which is available for both Android and iOS aims to make it easier for anyone to use its free consumer DNS service. App Store Generated 93% More Revenue Than Google Play in Q3

There has always been a competition between Android and iOS and with this, the fight between the App Store and the Google Play Store also emerged. In the third quarter of 2018, that gap between the two widened considerably. In this quarter, the App Store earned nearly 93% more than Google Play, the largest gap since at least 2014. The company says that approximately 66% of the $18.2 billion in mobile app revenue generated in Q3 2018 came from Apple’s  App Store. The App Store made $12 billion in the quarter, up 23.3% from the $9.7 billion it made during the same period in the previous year. Messenger Lite Rolled Out for iOS, Available only in Turkey

With all the mobile applications launching the lighter version of their apps, Facebook also came up with with the Messenger Lite app in October 2016, but it was available only for Android users back then. After two years of its existence, the lite app is being now rolled out on for iOS users as well, however, it will only be available in Turkey for now. The Messenger Lite app, like all the other lite apps, is small in size, uses less data, and works even in spotty connectivity. Apple Acquires Canadian App Development Service Buddybuild

Apple still struggles to let developers make apps easily for its platform. In such an effort, the iPhone maker has acquired Vancouver-based app tool startup- Buddybuild- a mobile iteration platform focusing on continuous integration and debugging tools. Apple Inc defrauded iPhone users by slowing devices without warning to compensate for poor battery performance, according to eight lawsuits filed in various federal courts in the week since the company opened up about the year-old software change. The tweak may have led iPhone owners to misguided attempts to resolve issues over the last year, the lawsuits contend. All the lawsuits - filed in U.S. District Courts in California, New York and Illinois - seek class-action to represent potentially millions of iPhone owners nationwide.  A similar case was lodged in an Israeli court on Monday, the newspaper Haaretz reported. RBI Launches App For Android, iOS Platforms

The Reserve Bank of India today formally launched a mobile application version of its website on Android and iOS platforms. The application can be downloaded from the Play Store/App Store, using the keyword 'Reserve Bank of India'.
