Yahoo Inc has shortlisted close to 10 bidders in the auction for its core Internet assets, including Verizon Communications Inc, with most offers involving cash rather than a combination with another company, according to people familiar with the matter. The shortlist comprises mainly large companies and big private equity firms including TPG Capital LP, and excludes many small companies that proposed some kind of combination, such as privately held Yellow Pages owner YP LLC, the people said this week. Satellite internet Startup OneWeb Ltd plans to manufacture 15 satellites per week at a planned factory in Florida as part of its push to provide global high-speed internet access, company officials said on Tuesday. Backed by Richard Branson's Virgin Group and other well-known firms, OneWeb aims to supply internet services worldwide through a fleet of 700 or more satellites it expects to have in orbit and operating by the end of 2019. Construction of the Florida factory has not yet begun and OneWeb did not say when manufacturing would start. He said transaction costs are reduced substantially when Aadhaar is used as an authentication tool. "If you are taking a mobile connection, currently the cost of activation of a mobile customer is Rs 150 because you have to fill a customer acquisition form (CAF), you have to give paper documents... if you use digital identity authentication, you can fill the customer form, digitally sign it and get your electronic KYC.
