HTC Quits the Indian Market, Chinese Players Dominate

The technology company and smartphone maker HTC is reportedly quitting the Indian market. The major factor behind this exit has been reported as the wide invasion of the Chinese companies in the Indian smartphone market. The Chinese players such as Xiaomi, Redmi and Oppo cover almost 70-80 percent of the market in India. The company has told around 70-80 employees to leave. Apple to bring “Exclusive Made-in-India” iPhone 6s Soon

American Technology Major, Apple has given a kick-start to commercial production of iPhone 6s in India at the Bengaluru facility of its Taiwan-based contract manufacturer Wistron, as informed by industry executives. While Apple has already made iPhone SE last May at the Wistron facility, it will now begin producing two models of iPhone locally. Oppo Planning to Launch Sub Brand to Take Over Xiaomi in India

Chinese Smartphone Manufacturer Oppo has begun assembling printed circuit boards (PCB's) at its maiden second plant in India and is also planning to launch a sub-brand aimed at taking over arch contender Xiaomi, which is currently the leading player in the Indian market.
