Indian Employers Can File One Paper For EPF, ESI returns

Taking another step towards ease of doing business, the Centre will on Thursday launch a common registration facility on e-biz portal enabling employers to avoid filing separate Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) and Employees' State Insurance (ESI) returns. The Labour Ministry has decided to integrate the registration process under five Labour Acts with the e-biz portal of the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP). The five acts covered in this process include Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952, Employees' State Insurance Act, 1948, Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act, 1970 and Building and Other Construction workers (Regulation of Employment & Conditions of Service) Act, 1996. Internet Users Count in India May Reach 50 Crores in 5-8 months

The number of Internet users in the country is expected to go up to 50 crore, from the present over 40 crore, in next 5-8 months, Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said today. "The number of people using Internet has crossed 40 crore in the country at present. I am expecting this number to go up to 50 crore in next 5-8 months. "According to our estimate, out of these, 70 per cent people are going to access Internet through mobile phones," Prasad said here at an Indore Management Association function. About 100 crore people, out of the population of India of nearly 125 crore, have mobile phones, the minister said, adding that every month, 20-35 lakh mobile users are added. Rahul Yadav back with e-governance startup; Flipkart’s Bansals play angels

Rahul Yadav, the ousted co-founder of Housing.com, is back with his new startup and he is funded by the biggest names in the Indian internet industry—Bansals of Flipkart.
