IIM-A raises 2-year PG program fees at Rs. 22 Lakhs

The Indian Institute of Management, Ahemdabad (IIM-A) has reportedly raised the fees of its post graduate programme for year 2018-2010 from 21 lakh to Rs. 22 lakh, third time in a row. Mr. Erol D'souza, its chief director delivered the information at IIM-A's 53rd convocation that took place on 24, March, 2018 at Louis Khan Plaza, IIM-A Campus, Ahemdabad. While the last year fees hike involved a 7.7% increase from Rs.19.5 lakhs to Rs. 21 lakh, this year it has moved up to Rs. 22 lakhs. While addressing the media, Mr. D'souza said, The IIM-A Board met and decided to increase the fee structure.Just like every year, the fee will rise. One of India's leading businessman Kumar Mangalam Birla has been appointed the new Chairman of the Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad (IIM-A) by HRD Ministry. The HRD committee also shortlisted the names of Deepak Parekh, Chairman of Housing Development Finance Corporation; R. Seshasayee of Infosys and Pawan Munjal, the CMD of Hero Motocorp. IIM-A Offer e-learning To Deliver Management Education Through Distance Learning

Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) will launch e-learning programmes to deliver management education through distance learning. The institute will launch several programmes in the coming months in collaboration with NIIT Ltd and Hughes Education, companies that provide online learning services, the leading business school said in a statement here. The institute has signed agreements with both the companies to deliver management education content using electronic mode in the form of synchronous studio-to-classroom programmes. Flipkart Offers Rs 1.5 lakh Compensation To IIM-A Students on Differ Joining Date

IIM-Ahmedabad and Flipkart were locked in a face-off on Thursday with the e-commerce major refusing to honour its job commitment to students of the prestigious institute until December, as against June promised earlier, but offered a compensation for the intervening period. While the Bengaluru-based company cited restructuring of its businesses as the reason behind deferring the joining dates for campus recruits, IIM-A said its students have already been getting job offers from other companies and they are looking at these opportunities.
