The CNIL said Google made it too difficult for users to understand and manage preferences on how their personal information is used, in particular with regards to targeted advertising. "People expect high standards of transparency and control from us. The all-new Google’s Pixel Slate is Arriving Tomorrow

Google’s last major piece of hardware, Google Pixel Slate, for the year is finally shipping this week. A number of pre-orders have already begun receiving shipping notifications for the Pixel Slate. The detachable tablet, which was announced alongside the Pixel 3 and Google Home Hub last month, joins last year’s Pixelbook on the high-end of the Chromebook spectrum. It also presents an interesting crossroads for the OS moving forward. The Slate doesn’t provide a whole lot to differentiate itself from the Pixelbook, right down to the specifications. The only major differences here are a higher-res screen and a detachable form factor, the latter of which isn’t hugely distinct, given the laptop’s fully swiveling keyboard. The tablet starts at $599 standalone, that gives you 4GB of ...

Initially, it began in northern California and Israel before gradually extending it into Brazil and parts of 12 other states. Now, the service will be made available to all the users in the US. "We don't want to be a professional driving network," Waze founder and CEO Noam Bardi said. "We see ride-sharing as something that needs to become part of the daily commute.
