Tencent raises $6 bn funding through bond sales

Shenzhen-based internet giant Tencent raises USD 6 billion in the bond sale. This is one of the biggest money collection through bond sales in Asia this year. Tencent confirmed this news in a filing to the Hong Kong stock exchange on Thursday with the biggest 10-year tranche of USD 3 billion priced at 3.975 percent. Researchers from Kent State University in the US assessed the ability of the smartphone based video game Pokemon Go to increase walking and decrease sedentary behavior, like sitting. They asked over 350 college students to report their physical activity and sedentary behavior the week before they downloaded Pokemon Go, the week immediately after downloading the game, and again several weeks later. Route Mobile founders Rajdip and Sandip Gupta today announced an investment of USD 10 million or over Rs 65 crore to start an electronic gaming startup, Cobx Gaming Ventures. "As avid gamers ourselves we have always wanted to contribute to the growth of professional esports," Rajdip, the founder of Cobx, was quoted as saying in a statement.
