Pepperfry Introduces Cash-On-Delivery Services Up To Rs 50,000

Online home and lifestyle store Pepperfry has reportedly launched a fresh feature on its platform that is from now on, the consumers in Mumbai and Delhi NCR will be able to avail the cash on delivery (COD) services ahead of the upcoming festive season. Furniture delivery is a big space and thus, it is generally not based on COD, but now the company will offer COD payments of up to Rs 50,000 on high-ticket purchases at no additional cost as an introductory offer. The founder of Furniture retailer IKEA and Ikano, and one of the greatest entrepreneurs of the 20th century, Ingvar Kamprad, has peacefully passed away, at his home in Småland, Sweden, on the 27th of January. Surrounded by his loved ones, he died at the age of 91, following a short illness. Ingvar Kamprad was born in 1926 in Småland in southern Sweden. Online Furniture Rental Company Furlenco Raises 200 Crores

Online furniture rental company Furlenco today said it has raised Rs 200 crore (USD 30 million) in funding through a mix of equity and debt. The fresh round of funding includes USD 15 million of equity and USD 15 million of debt, according to Ajith Mohan Karimpana, Founder and CEO of Furlenco. The equity portion of the investment is led by Lightbox along with Axis Capital (no relation to Axis Bank), a Hong Kong based VC fund and a clutch of prominent high networth individuals or HNIs, the company said in a statement. The debt was raised from banks, NBFCs (Non-Banking Financial Company), HNIs and Indian family offices.
