Ola Sold Electric Scooters Close to $100 Million on a First day

Bengaluru, India, 16th Sept 2021: India's leading cab service provider Ola said its electric vehicle subsidiary Ola Electric sold scooters worth close to $100 million on the first day of the sale of its model S1. Ola Electric had on Wednesday commenced the sale process of its electric scooter, which comes in two trims Ola S1 and S1. "India is committing to EVs and rejecting petrol! We sold 4 scooters/sec at peak & sold scooters worth 600Cr+ in a day! Mahindra Group Starts Using Internet-of-Things For Trucks & Tractors

One of the largest tractor makers and commercial vehicle players in India, Mahindra Group has already started using the Internet-of-Things (IoT) project for placing sensors in its tractors and trucks for predicting possible breakdowns. According to the Strategy Head at the Group, Anish Shah, there will be sensors in tractors and trucks to predict failures of specific parts. There will be parts waiting for customers at service centres on the route subsequently. This will prevent breakdowns and time losses of drivers. The same technology can be applied for the automobile business too according to Shah. SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Scoot has reached 1,000,000 miles in San Francisco today. Thousands of members have taken thousands of rides over the past 3.5 years. Scoot launched to the public in September 2012, with just 35 scooters & 5 locations. Each year, Scoot has expanded its reach and availability for residents of the City by the Bay. San Francisco is, as we know, 7x7 so scooting one million miles is like riding from SOMA to Ocean Beach 142,857 times. More importantly, if every one of those million miles had been in a car or taxi, instead of on an electric scooter, there’d be an additional 1.2 million pounds of CO2 in the atmosphere.
