Vedantu acquires doubt-solving platform Instasolv

New Delhi, Feb 22, 2021: Ed-tech startup Vedantu has fully acquired Instasolv, a doubt-solving app for students of classes 6 to 12 for science, mathematics. The ed-tech firm, however, did not disclose the financial details of the deal. Earlier in 2020, Vedantu had invested USD 2 million as part of a pre-series A round funding in Instasolv. "Last year we took a strategic decision to invest in Instasolv to strengthen our play in doubt-solving, which is one of the key aspects of learning online. Bengaluru, Jan 28, 2020: Ed-tech startup WizKlub raises $1 million (Rs 7 crore) in seed funding led by Incubate Fund India with participation from Insitor Impact Asia Fund. This round brings the total funds raised by the company to Rs nine crore so far, it said in a statement. The company, founded in February 2018 by serial entrepreneur Amit Bansal, plans to use the fresh capital for product and market expansion. Entrance test preparation services provider Aakash Educational Services Ltd has acquired ed-tech company Applect Learning Systems for around $14.5 million (Rs 100 crore). The company has entered into a definitive agreement with Info Edge (India) Ltd and other selling shareholders to acquire ALSPL, which offers learning programmes under the brand name 'Meritnation' catering to students of class I to XII, AESL said in a statement.
